OROFACIAL MYOFUNCTIONAL DISORDERS
Disorders of the muscles and functions of the face and mouth are orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMD's). OMD's can have a drastic affect on facial growth, chewing and swallowing, tooth eruption and occlusion, speech, and facial appearance.
